Serie A contacts FIFA to extend trading period

Serie A has reportedly asked FIFA to add a short transfer window from June 1-10 to allow clubs to strengthen their squads ahead of the new Club World Cup.

Earlier in October, it was reported that FIFA wanted to add a 10-day. Transfer window to help teams make deals ahead of the Club World Cup on June 15.

The extension would help clubs find deals for players. Whose contracts are expiring, as in Europe, contracts typically expire on June 30. Which would be right in the middle of the tournament.

Reports coming out of Italy say that Serie A has now formally requested to add a transfer window. From June 1-10. Which would allow clubs to register players. Before the tournament starts, instead of having to wait until July 1 as usual. The
