Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been honoured. After being awarded the FIFPRO Humanitarian Award for his work at home and in Africa.
“When I travelled through Barcelona, Amsterdam and Milan. Before coming to Manchester United, I had people who helped me along the way,” Onana said .
“When I was down, they reached out to help me get back on my feet. I never forget the help I received. Because of the people in the past who helped me. I feel a responsibility to give something back and help others.”

Doctors working with the Andre Onana Foundation have performed more than 1,200 surgeries over the past three years, FIFPRO confirms.
Onana becomes the second Man Utd player to win the award, following in the footsteps of Marcus Rashford, who won the award for his work in providing school meals to disadvantaged children in England during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
