Inter shocked in injury time as Genoa got a penalty to tie 2-2.

Inter Milan stumbled in the first match of the new season after losing a penalty in injury time, allowing Genoa to draw 2-2.

Genoa, led by coach Alberto Gilardino, has Junior Messias in front of goal with Vitinha, while defending champions Inter Milan, led by coach Simone Inzaghi, has sent a pair of star strikers, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, to lead the team.

The home team took the lead 1-0 in the 20th minute from a free kick that Aaron Martin crossed into the penalty area. Mattia Bani’s header hit the crossbar and Alessandro Voicco ran in to tap in a close-range effort.

But 10 minutes later, Inter equalized 1-1. Nicolo Barella crossed from the right into the penalty area for Marcus Thuram to head in beautifully. 

40 minutes Inter almost score when they took advantage of Genoa’s defensive mistakes before Lautaro Martinez’s shot was block and the ball bounced to Federico Dimarco who hit it hard but captain Milan Badelj followed up to head the ball clear.

In the second half, in the 63rd minute, Inter Milan had a chance from Alessandro Bastoni who passed the ball to Mkhitaryan who shot in one move without having to catch it. The ball flew hard but went over the bar and out.

In the last 15 minutes, Inter sent in new Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi to replace Hakan Çalhanoğlu in hopes of scoring the winning goal.

83 minutes, Inter scored from Marcus Thuram ยูฟ่าเบท, Davide Frattesi passed into the box to shoot. The referee initially blew for offside, but after checking with VAR, it was rule offside, and Inter Milan took the lead 2-1.

However, in the injury time, Genoa got a penalty when Yann Bisek was caught for handball in the penalty area. Junior Messias took the first shot but Yann Sommer saved it, but he followed up and scored again, making the game end with a score of 2-2, with the home fans happy with the one point they got.
